My oldest son who is 9 and in the 3rd grade was diagnosed in 1st grade with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) called Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). PDD-NOS is a high functioning typology of ASD as is Asperger's Syndrome. If you are unfamiliar with ASD or the other terms it might help visualizing ASD linearlly. On the far left would be severe (or classic) Autism which includes the inability to speak and self-injure (among other things) and to the far right would be PDD-NOS. I updated a couple of my previous works to include a "frame" on them to give them a more finished look. I need to trim the final pieces so they fit in the frames but I think the result thus far is improved. I've also added my newest collage I titled "Noetics". It is a very cerebral piece for me. I came across something interesting while looking for images to add and it gave me an idea for the final "message." I'm really proud of this one.

I spent several days working on a new collage I will be posting soon. This one is layered with symbolism and a cryptic message. It didn't start out that way it just sort of evolved as I was working on it. I have to say this is my favorite piece to date. I look forward to receiving some positive feedback and fair critiques.
